Covid-19's Impacts on God's Creation and Vulnerable Communities

Thursday, May 28, 2020 - 2:00pm to 3:00pm

This webinar will examine how the Covid-19 pandemic has enormous impacts and implications on vulnerable communities and God's creation.

We will connect the dots between the pandemic and the disproportionate impacts low-income neighborhoods and communities of color. We will also look at what the COVID-19 pandemic is teaching us about our treatment of God's creation and how we can stand in solidarity with vulnerable communities during this pandemic.

Presenters:
Fr. Sean McDonagh, a priest of the Missionary Society of St. Columban and the Society's researcher for "Justice, Peace & Integrity of Creation".
Dr. Sacoby Wilson, Director, Community Engagement, Environmental Justice and Health, Maryland Institute for Applied Environmental Health, University of Maryland-College Park
