Loyola University Chicago will sponsor its fourth Theology of Healing Earth in Action Institute (THEA) from June 21-27, 2020. The THEA Institute offers high school students the opportunity to learn about environmental justice and grow in their spirituality at one of the greenest campuses in the nation. During the week, high school students explore the sacred story of water through the disciplines of scripture, sacraments, ethics, and science.
Students will live on campus and learn from expert theologians and scientists. The program seeks to promote leadership and cultivate a new generation of pioneers who will lead integrated lives of faith and justice, empowering them to respond to contemporary social challenges. The Institute offers a holistic and diverse experience which invites students to discover and discern their gifts and vocation while fostering Ignatian values of love for others, creativity, and prayer.
Cost to attend the Institute is $200 and covers housing, meals, and all supplies.
